Challenge

Add to cart rates can always use some help when selling higher-priced items and luxury goods. How can we give users more confidence to make a higher dollar purchase?

The Hypothesis

If we let the user know that shipping will be free over a certain threshold and that they can pay over time with BNPL features, we can expect higher ATC rates and purchase rates.

Solution

We tested two different versions of value props underneath the ATC button, calling out free shipping and the ability to Buy Now, Pay Later.

The Rusults

Purchase rate: increased 19% at 96% confidence
Revenue per user: Increased 25% at 99% confidence

Key Takeaway

If you're selling items over $99, give users the ability to get free shipping and give them the option to split their payment up so that the perceived price is much lower.
